Terms of sale
Purpose
These terms and conditions of sale are intended to define the contractual relationship between, on the one hand:

and the purchaser on the other hand, hereinafter referred to as "the Customer", and the conditions applicable to any purchase made through the Mille et Une Huiles online store, baron-chassaing.com, hereinafter referred to as "the Online Store" or "the Site", whether the purchaser is a professional or a consumer, as well as to orders placed by private individuals by telephone.
By placing an order for a product on baron-chassaing.com, the Customer acknowledges:
- that they have full legal capacity;
- that their order is governed by these General Terms and Conditions of Sale, the terms of which the Customer declares to accept without restriction or reservation. Any order constitutes unreserved acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale. This acceptance is in no way conditional upon a handwritten signature from the Customer. In accordance with the applicable provisions of the French Civil Code, it is recalled that the validation of the order form, as specified in Article 3, constitutes an electronic signature which has, between the parties, the same value as a handwritten signature.
Mille et Une Huiles reserves the right to modify its terms and conditions of sale at any time. In this case, the applicable conditions will be those in force at the time the order is confirmed by the purchaser.
Article 1: Characteristics of the goods and services offered
The offers featured in the baron-chassaing.com online store are valid for the duration of their online presentation and within the limits of available stock.
baron-chassaing.com presents the various Products it offers for sale, together with their detailed descriptions contained in the "usage tips", "ingredients", "nutritional information" and "storage" sections of each product, giving the customer the opportunity to know, before placing a final order, the essential characteristics of each product they may purchase on the Site, in accordance with the provisions of Article L.111-1 of the French Consumer Code.
The photographs in the catalogue are as accurate as possible but cannot guarantee a perfect match with the product offered, particularly with regard to colours.
Mille et Une Huiles may update this information at any time.
Article 2: Prices
The prices of our products are shown on the site in euros, inclusive of all taxes (TTC), excluding delivery costs.
Mille et Une Huiles reserves the right to modify its prices at any time. When an order is placed, the products will be invoiced on the basis of the prices in force at the time the order is validated.
The products remain the property of Mille et Une Huiles until full payment of the price.
Article 3: Placing orders

To place an order on www.baron-chassaing.com, the Customer must:
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a contract;
- Have an address in one of the countries we deliver to;
- Hold a funded bank account enabling them to pay the amount of their order online.
To add a Product to their basket, the Customer clicks on the "Add to cart" icon.
At any time, the Customer may:
- view a summary of the Products they have selected or modify their basket by clicking on the "Cart" icon available at the top of each page;
- validate their basket by clicking on "Checkout".
Once their basket has been validated, the Customer must identify themselves in order to confirm their order. The Customer undertakes in particular to provide:
- their surname(s), first name(s), telephone number and email address. Said email address must be fully valid and in perfect working order;
- a postal address at which delivery can be made during working hours, Monday to Saturday. This information is requested when the order is placed so that Mille et Une Huiles can confirm the order(s) and ensure delivery.
Article 4: Order validation
Validation by the Customer
After reviewing the summary of their order, the Customer will be asked:
- to enter or confirm the address to which they wish to be delivered, and their billing address if different;
- to select the delivery method;
- to tick the box "I have read the general terms and conditions of sale and I accept them without reservation."
Validation of your order therefore constitutes full and unreserved acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale.
To pay, the Customer is invited to click on "Checkout" and will be asked to proceed with payment by choosing their preferred payment method from those offered.
Unless proven otherwise, the data recorded by baron-chassaing.com constitutes proof of all transactions between Mille et Une Huiles and its customers.
The data recorded by the payment system constitutes proof of financial transactions.
Validation by Mille et Une Huiles
Receipt by Mille et Une Huiles of the Customer's payment constitutes validation of the order.
Upon receipt of orders, Mille et Une Huiles checks the consistency of the information provided.
An order confirmation email together with the invoice are then sent to the Customer, indicating:
- the order number;
- confirmation of payment;
- the Customer's delivery and billing address;
- the order summary (description of the Product(s) ordered, quantity, price);
- the delivery costs;
- the total amount of the order, inclusive of all taxes.
In accordance with the provisions of Article L.122-1 of the French Consumer Code, Mille et Une Huiles shall be entitled to refuse any abnormal order, any order placed in bad faith, or any order linked to non-payment resulting from the fraudulent use of a bank card.
Article 5: Availability
Our product offers are valid as long as they are visible on the site, within the limits of available stock. In the event that a product becomes unavailable after you have placed your order (stock error, product breakage), we will inform you by email or telephone. We will then offer you the choice of:
- postponing delivery until the product is restocked, where possible;
- a refund in the form of a store credit;
- replacement with products of your choice of equivalent value to the missing products;
- a refund of the missing product(s) by bank card, cheque or PayPal within 10 days.
Validation will be suspended until we receive your response.
Article 6: Delivery
Delivery is available in mainland France, as well as in the following European Union countries:
- Zone 1: Belgium, Luxembourg
- Zone 2: Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Austria, Portugal
- Zone 3: rest of the European Union (including Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, Ireland)

Delivery methods and shipping costs
The Customer selects their preferred delivery method when validating their order. The amount of the delivery costs payable by the Customer is shown on the order validation page. It is calculated according to the order amount, the delivery address and the shipping option chosen by the Customer.

Delivery times
Orders placed on the baron-chassaing.com online store are registered upon receipt of the corresponding payment. The delivery times indicated above run from the dispatch of the order, under normal service conditions and for shipments made by our usual carriers.
If the processing of your order (particularly due to the weight of the parcels) requires a special routing solution, the delivery times will be specified to you when you place your order. If these times are not satisfactory to you, you will have the option of cancelling your order.
Mille et Une Huiles cannot be held liable for the consequences of delivery delays attributable to the carrier, or to interruptions caused by strikes or the stoppage of means of transport.
Shipments
Purchases made in the baron-chassaing.com online store may be delivered to the address chosen by the purchaser, even if it differs from their home address.
Article 7: Payment methods
Orders placed on the baron-chassaing.com online store may be paid for by three different means:
Payment by bank card
Payment by bank card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, other debit cards (e-Carte Bleue)) involves redirecting the purchaser to the secure payment server. Confidential information is collected on the payment provider's server and, after authorisation, this information is immediately destroyed. If the bank refuses the payment, the order will be automatically cancelled and the Customer informed by Mille et Une Huiles.
Mille et Une Huiles uses a payment service provider and therefore never has access to confidential information relating to the Customer's payment method.
Payment via PayPal
PayPal is a service that allows you to avoid sharing your bank details when shopping online. Bank details are held by PayPal once the purchaser has opened an account. Mille et Une Huiles has no access to them.
Payment by cheque
The purchaser may also pay for their order by cheque drawn on a bank domiciled in mainland France or Monaco, made payable to:
Mille et Une Huiles, Parc de la Saussaie, 10 bis rue du Moulin vert, 94400 Vitry/Seine. In this case, the order will be processed once the cheque has been cashed.
No payment terms are granted and orders are not dispatched until payment has been received and cashed. In the absence of news from the Customer, Mille et Une Huiles reserves the right to cancel an order for which payment by cheque has not been received within 30 days.
Discount codes
As part of commercial promotions, Mille et Une Huiles may offer discount codes to its customers. The discount code must be entered at the order summary stage to be valid.
Discount codes apply only to the value of the products, which must be at least equal to the value of the discount code, and cannot be applied to delivery costs. This offer cannot be combined with other offers. Discount codes are not retroactive and can no longer be applied once the order has been placed. Discount codes offering free products are valid within the limits of available stock. Discount codes are valid until their expiry date.
Article 8: After-sales service
Returns and right of withdrawal
In accordance with Articles L.120-20 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, the purchaser has a period of fourteen (14) days to exercise their right of withdrawal without having to justify their reasons or pay any penalties, with the exception of return costs. The fourteen-day period runs from the day following the date of receipt of the items. The cost of returning the goods is borne by the Customer, except where Mille et Une Huiles explicitly offers to cover it.
In the event of a return, please send your purchases back, together with their delivery documents and original packaging, to the following address:

Products returned incomplete, damaged, soiled or without their original packaging will not be accepted. Food products that have been opened or partially consumed will not be accepted.

Lost parcels
In the event of a parcel being lost in transit (where the carrier has lost the parcel during shipment, resulting in non-delivery to the Customer), Mille et Une Huiles undertakes to send, at its own expense, a second parcel containing the contents of the order in order to honour the order.
Mille et Une Huiles will then ask the recipient to provide a sworn statement confirming non-receipt of the parcel, together with an undertaking to refuse the first shipment should it eventually arrive. This statement will be used to file a claim with the carrier and, where applicable, with the Police.
If the second shipment does not arrive, Mille et Une Huiles will then refund the original order.
Defective or damaged products / Order preparation errors
All products supplied by Mille et Une Huiles are covered by the legal warranty provided for in Articles L. 217 et seq. of the French Consumer Code. In the event of non-conformity of a product sold, it may be returned to Mille et Une Huiles, which will take it back, exchange it or refund it.

Mille et Une Huiles will carry out all necessary checks and may, if needed, ask the customer to provide any useful information or photos. Following this, Mille et Une Huiles may respond favourably or unfavourably to the customer's request. If the response is favourable, Mille et Une Huiles will refund or exchange, at its own expense, the apparently defective or damaged products.
In the event of an order preparation error, products not received by the customer will either be refunded or reshipped at the expense of Mille et Une Huiles.
Where applicable, Mille et Une Huiles will request the return, at its own expense, of products not ordered by the Customer that were shipped in error.
Article 9: Refunds
Product refunds will be made as soon as possible and at the latest within 30 days of the date on which the right was exercised. The refund will be made, as proposed by Mille et Une Huiles:
- For payments by bank card, either by credit to the customer's bank account or by cheque.
- For payments by cheque, either by store credit or by bank cheque made out in the name of the customer who placed the order and sent to the billing address.
To process your requests, please provide your surname, first name, address, order date and order number.
Article 10: Liability of Mille et Une Huiles
Mille et Une Huiles declines all liability, civil or criminal, that may result from improper use of the products sold or for damage for which the supplier of the product in question would be liable.
Mille et Une Huiles reserves the right to remove or modify any content published on its website for legal or technical reasons.
Article 11: Personal data protection & confidentiality
In accordance with the French Data Protection Act (Loi Informatique et Libertés) of 6 January 1978, any internet user with an account on the Mille et Une Huiles site has the right to access, modify, rectify and delete data concerning them. This right may be exercised through the "My account" section of the baron-chassaing.com site or by post at the following address:

Users of the baron-chassaing.com site are also informed that Mille et Une Huiles transmits non-personal data to authorised third parties (Google, Shopify, etc.) through the use of third-party cookies for the purpose of collecting and using browsing data of users of the baron-chassaing.com site. These authorised third parties use the browsing data of users of the baron-chassaing.com site in accordance with the provisions of the French Data Protection Act as amended by the law of 6 August 2004 and in accordance with their privacy policy.
Mille et Une Huiles undertakes to ensure the confidentiality of the information provided by the purchaser. Furthermore, the email address files held by Mille et Une Huiles are used only by Mille et Une Huiles itself for the purpose of processing orders or commercial communication. No email address is sold, given away, transferred or exchanged.
No information or advertising is sent by email without the consent of our customers. Mille et Une Huiles does not send spam.
Article 12: Intellectual property
All elements of the baron-chassaing.com websites are and remain the exclusive intellectual property of Mille et Une Huiles. No one is authorised to reproduce, exploit, distribute or use in any capacity whatsoever, even partially, any elements of the site, whether software, visual or audio.

Article 13: Applicable law – disputes
This contract is governed by French law. The language of this contract is French. In the event of a dispute, the French courts shall have sole jurisdiction.
Article 14: Competent jurisdiction
These terms and conditions of sale are governed by French law. Any disputes that may arise between the parties concerning, among other things, the validity, interpretation, performance or termination of the contract shall be settled definitively by the Commercial Court of Bobigny, unless Mille et Une Huiles prefers to bring the matter before any other competent court.
